About Gaia

After running an all-female tree surgery and garden design business in Scotland, and working in film production in London, I decided to combine my skillsets and return to my roots. I retrained as a florist, with a focus on floral portraiture.

As I developed my style while freelancing, I discovered a worldwide community of talented people, each fired by the same goal: to use the medium of flowers and botanical art to express the full spectrum of emotion, without words.

Alongside wedding and tribute work, our team create natural installations and set designs to mark celebrations and for events. I work with individuals to create portraits that capture strength, beauty and humanity and also love teaching and working with groups and young people.

My work is rooted in a fierce awareness of beauty everywhere and a desire to celebrate diversity and individuality in a safe and joyful space defined by what all of us have in common.

My core values are sustainability, collaboration, artistry, magic and FUN, creating beautiful, personal portraits  and experiences for my clients and their guests.

“There is a coherence in things, a stability; something, she meant, is immune from change, and shines out … in the face of the flowing, the fleeting, the spectral, like a ruby…. Of such moments, she thought, the thing is made that endures”.

– Virginia Woolf, To The Lighthouse
